Exciting News for Music Creators: Fall 2025 MIDI Chord Pack Is Out!
Great news, producers and composers! I’m thrilled to announce the upcoming Fall 2025 Edition of the SHLD MIDI Chord Pack — and yes, it’s still completely free! 🎹🔥
This new edition takes everything you loved from the Spring version — like the mood-based tagging — and adds something that makes your progressions come alive: more complex rhythms.
Groove Meets Harmony
While the Spring pack focused on emotions, the Fall 2025 update dives deep into rhythmic movement. I reworked the chord generator to create more inspiring progressions with offbeat hits, syncopated grooves, and complex rhythmic patterns that feel more human and alive.
You’ll find these new grooves in fresh subfolders like: pop, pop2, hiphop2, and soul — each one packed with new rhythmic feels and harmonic colors to spark your creativity.
New Styles, New Inspirations
Beyond rhythm, this edition expands the pack with even more progressions — from R&B and jazzy chords to sequences inspired by Lenny Kravitz and Radiohead. Whether you’re working on a smooth soul jam, a groovy trap beat, or an atmospheric techno track, there’s something here to kickstart your next project.
And yes, the pack still includes thousands of MIDI files covering every key and chord type, ready to drag and drop into your DAW or groovebox.
Quick Demo Video
I’ve also made a short video demoing one of the new hiphop2 progressions. In it, I show how to quickly transform a simple loop into a smooth RnB groove — adding random velocity, using Ableton’s Strum effect, and showing how even small tweaks can make your chords feel real and organic.
