SHLD Melodies: Fall 2026 Is Out! Handcrafted Melodies & Basslines for Melodic Techno, Progressive & Organic House.
Stuck on a blank track? Missing a strong hook? I'm excited to announce SHLD Melodies: Fall 2026, a brand-new MIDI pack built to spark instant inspiration. It gives your productions an expressive, organic feel that sits naturally in the mix. 🎹✨
Inside, you'll find 52 handcrafted MIDI melodies and basslines, tailored for Melodic Techno, Progressive, and Organic House.
You already know the SHLD Chord Pack? So why not add some melodies on top of it? Every line features intentional phrasing, velocity variations, and natural contours. Your synths will sound dynamic and alive, not flat.
Keys & What's Inside
The pack contains 40 melodies (pad leads, call and response hooks, hypnotic sequences, breakdown lines) and 12 basslines. They come as 2, 4 bar and 8 bar loops, plus short riffs. Everything is provided as standard .mid files that work in Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, Bitwig, Cubase, Studio One, your MPC and more. A Readme with a key map is included.
Tonality wise, the pack focuses on D minor with two versatile progressions: i / III / v (Dm / F / Am) and i / VI / VII (Dm / Bâ™ / C). These loops layer seamlessly over the SHLD Chord Pack. They also fit any track in D minor. For a darker vibe, a dedicated F minor set (i / VI / VII) is included as well. And expect regular updates over time. Future additions will explore the atypical scales and less common modes already featured in the SHLD Chords Pack.
Perfect For
- Producers chasing the Afterlife, Anjunadeep, Innellea, or Stephan Bodzin sound
- Anyone who wants to skip writer's block and get instant melodic ideas
- Fast sketching, sound design, and layering new hooks in minutes
Workflow Tip
Use every loop as a starting point. Drag and drop it. Shift notes. Chop the rhythm. Mangle the MIDI until it is yours. That is where the magic happens.
If you run Ableton Live 12, the new MIDI Tools are a goldmine. Open the Transform panel and try Ornament to add human-like grace notes, or Connect to weave flowing lines between phrases. Then hit the Generate tab: Euclidean or Rhythm can spawn brand-new variations from the same notes. The clip's Chance Editor is another gem. Lower the probability of a few notes, or group them so they only play together. Your hook keeps evolving on every loop.
On Bitwig, it is just as direct: per-note Chance is built right into the note editor, and Note FX like Randomize can push things further.
And as always, everything is 100% royalty-free for commercial releases.
