Did you know that using clip save/load on the Roland MC-101, MC-707, and MV-1 comes with a ton of benefits? It’s not just a handy feature—it’s a game-changer for your workflow.

If you have the latest firmware in your favourite groovebox, you'll undoubtedly have noticed the ability to save and load Clips. This allows you to save the sounds and notes from a clip and track in an .mvc file.

But why use clip files?

  • To quickly save an idea, and reuse it in another project easily
  • To create templates for Drums or Synths tracks
  • And above all to share these sounds and Clips between the MC-101, MC-707 and Verselab MV-1! Project files are not compatible between the MV-1 and the MC, but clip files are!

Imagine having prepared a set of killer sounds: .mvc files are the easiest way of distributing them to as many people as possible without getting bogged down! So this is the format I use for my samples :)
